Right on Potsdamer Platz, one of the busiest crossroads in Berlin, The Mandala Hotel feels surprisingly hushed. Step inside and the traffic gives way to soft neutral tones, warm wood and tall windows that frame the city without letting its noise in.
Space is the big luxury here. Most rooms are really suites, with walk-in closets, a compact kitchenette and a coffee machine, and the larger categories add separate lounge and dining corners behind floor-to-ceiling glass. At the very top, the penthouse even comes with its own whirlpool.
Dining is taken seriously. FACIL, holder of two Michelin stars, sits in a glass pavilion wrapped in bamboo and greenery, so a meal there feels like eating in a secret garden. QIU covers the more relaxed moments as bar and restaurant, and on sunny mornings breakfast moves outside.
ONO Spa crowns the building with saunas and quiet rest areas above the rooftops, while a gym open around the clock looks after early risers. In the video you follow the house from airy daylight suites to the candlelit glow of evening.

Berlin, Germany.
Potsdamer Platz is the reborn heart of Berlin, a district of glass towers, cinemas and shopping arcades built where the Wall once cut the city in two. The S-Bahn and U-Bahn station is a few steps from the hotel door, so the rest of the capital is never far away.
On foot you reach the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in minutes, and the green expanse of the Tiergarten starts just around the corner. The Philharmonie and the museums of the Kulturforum are close too, and Museum Island with the Pergamon Museum lies about 2.6 km away. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is reachable by direct train.
What guests say.
From guest reviews, checked October 2026.Guests keep coming back to three things: the generous size of the suites, the friendly and helpful team, and a location that puts most of central Berlin within walking distance. The breakfast and the Michelin-starred cooking at FACIL earn plenty of praise, and the rooftop spa is a favourite for winding down. On the downside, some visitors find the rooms a little dated, mention weak water pressure and a modest lobby, and report that breakfast service can be slow on busy mornings.
