art'otel London Hoxton

London, United Kingdom

On the edge of Shoreditch, where the East End brushes up against the City, art'otel London Hoxton rises as a dark, slender tower you spot from blocks away. It opened in 2024 and treats art as part of the fabric: bold canvases hang in the suites, a sculpted wall frames the reception desk and the lobby lounge glows with amber light and a long fireplace.

Away from the street, the spa slows everything down. A blue-lit indoor pool stretches through a hushed hall lined with loungers, and up in the gym you can stretch on a yoga mat while the glass towers of the Square Mile fill the window.

Rooms are modern and a little playful, with tablets for ordering room service and blinds that glide shut on their own. The suites are the showpiece: the Skyline Junior Suite and the Masterpiece Suite set curved cream sofas against floor-to-ceiling views over London.

Days begin at The Brush, a grand café known for its breakfast spreads and pancakes, and evenings belong to the bar and to the restaurant led by chef Kenny Atkinson, where dinner comes with the city lights. Our video picks show the tower, the pool, the suites and the team that guests keep praising.

Destination info

London, United Kingdom.

Hoxton and Shoreditch form one of the liveliest corners of East London. Street art covers whole walls, old warehouses hold galleries, studios and cocktail bars, and the nightlife runs late. Brick Lane with its markets and curry houses, Boxpark and the Sunday flower market on Columbia Road are all an easy walk from the hotel.

Old Street station on the Northern line is a few minutes away on foot, and Liverpool Street is close by for the Elizabeth line and trains to Stansted. The financial towers of the City start right across the road, so the West End, the South Bank and the big museums are only a short Tube ride away.

Guests talk first about the people. Reception staff are named again and again for warm, patient help, from tips for first time visitors to small touches for children. The design, the spa and the pool win praise too, as do the clean, modern rooms and their skyline views, and Old Street station is close. On the downside, a few guests found the air conditioning hard to keep cool at night, mentioned small faults in the room and felt that communication between shifts could be better when something went wrong.
